We've been in Chicago three days. Our living room is filled with boxes which are filled with our life from Holland. We are slowly unpacking and rebuilding the framework for our lives from here on out in Chicago.
The past two mornings we've gone to the same Starbuck's to get internet. This morning we felt a sense of familiarity and fondness until we came out to find that orange scar on Warturtle's windshield for parking only half way in a no-parking zone. I guess what costs $10 in Holland costs $60 in this town.
We are staying very busy but every once in a while we stop and it feels like we're not at home. We realize we haven't done anything normal in a while. Then I go clip my fingernails, or eat a sandwich, or continue my reading through the old testament and realize that we have to build our home hear and that's why it doesn't feel like home yet.
You are all now welcome here at any time. We're at 2801 South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (S. King Drive is accepted universally too), apt. 1713, Chicago IL, 60616.
